Labor diagnostics for micronutrient analysis at Praxis Jona

Focus

fatigue, exhaustion, hair loss

Basis

history, nutrition, lab values

Cost

consultation from €61.20

The focus is not a generic “vitamin analysis”, but a medically grounded assessment of your symptoms, lifestyle, nutrition and possible risk factors.

On this basis, we recommend targeted laboratory tests that are medically meaningful and individually matched to your situation.

An adequate supply of:

  • vitamins,
  • minerals,
  • trace elements,
  • amino acids
  • and other micronutrients

can play an important role for:

  • energy and performance,
  • concentration,
  • regeneration,
  • immune system,
  • metabolism,
  • skin and hair
  • and general well-being.

When can micronutrient analysis be useful?

Targeted micronutrient diagnostics may be useful, among other situations, for:

  • chronic fatigue or exhaustion
  • concentration problems
  • susceptibility to infections
  • hair loss
  • iron deficiency
  • vegetarian or vegan nutrition
  • digestive symptoms
  • desire to conceive
  • cycle symptoms
  • athletic strain
  • increased stress
  • unbalanced nutrition
  • long-term medication use
  • metabolism in need of regeneration

Functional deficiencies often play a role and are not fully captured in standard laboratory testing.

Which values can be tested?

Depending on symptoms and the medical question, tests may include:

  • iron & ferritin
  • vitamin B12
  • vitamin D
  • zinc
  • magnesium
  • folic acid
  • selenium
  • iodine in urine
  • thyroid values
  • inflammation markers
  • metabolic parameters etc.

The choice of lab values is made individually after medical assessment.

Important note before blood collection

To make lab values as meaningful as possible, we recommend pausing supplements and micronutrient preparations, where medically possible, about 4 days before blood collection.

Please do not stop prescribed medication on your own without medical consultation.

How does micronutrient analysis work?

At the beginning, there is a detailed physician consultation with:

  • medical history,
  • nutrition analysis,
  • discussion of symptoms,
  • medication history
  • and individual risk assessment.

Targeted lab values are then determined.

Based on the results, we create an individual therapy concept with:

  • nutrition recommendations,
  • supplementation strategies,
  • infusion therapy if appropriate,
  • and individual follow-up recommendations.

Our focus is medically grounded prevention instead of generic supplementation.

Individual therapy & supplementation

Depending on findings, we create individual concepts to support your micronutrient status.

This may include:

  • targeted supplementation,
  • nutrition adjustments,
  • iron infusions,
  • vitamin infusions
  • or further regenerative therapy concepts.

Recommendations are based on lab values, symptoms and individual goals.

Transparent cost structure

Micronutrient consultation, including detailed history, individual findings discussion and therapy recommendation, is a private physician service.

Cost overview

  • Physician consultation & therapy recommendation: from €61.20*
  • Individual laboratory parameters are billed separately

All services are billed according to the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ).

Costs are generally not covered by statutory health insurance.

Private health insurance or supplementary insurance may partially or fully cover consultation, laboratory testing or infusion therapy depending on the tariff.

Before every test, we transparently discuss which lab values are meaningful and what approximate costs can be expected.

*Actual costs depend on the scope of consultation, diagnostics and individually selected laboratory parameters.

Who is this diagnostic approach suitable for?

Micronutrient analysis is for people who:

  • want to actively support their health,
  • want to better understand functional symptoms,
  • want to improve regeneration or performance,
  • think preventively,
  • or want to preserve health long-term.

Individual preventive medicine instead of generic supplementation

At Praxis Jona, we combine modern laboratory diagnostics, preventive medicine and individual therapy recommendations with a long-term view of health, regeneration and performance.

Our focus is medically grounded diagnostics and individually tailored therapy concepts.

Frequently Asked Questions About Micronutrient Analysis

What is the difference between micronutrient analysis and a normal blood count?

A standard blood count does not fully capture many functional micronutrient deficiencies.

In micronutrient analysis, additional values are tested in a targeted way when they are useful for symptoms or the medical question.

Can a deficiency exist despite “normal” standard values?

Yes. Functional deficiencies or borderline supply can cause symptoms even when standard values are still within the reference range.

That is why we always interpret lab values in relation to symptoms, lifestyle and the individual situation.

Which symptoms may be related to micronutrient deficiencies?

Possible symptoms include:

  • fatigue
  • concentration problems
  • hair loss
  • susceptibility to infections
  • exhaustion
  • muscle symptoms
  • reduced performance
  • brittle nails
  • dry skin
  • mood changes
Can iron deficiency or vitamin B12 deficiency cause hair loss?

Yes. Iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency or other micronutrient deficits can contribute to diffuse forms of hair loss.

For this reason, we often combine regenerative hair therapies with micronutrient diagnostics if desired.

Is treatment adjusted individually?

Yes. Recommendations are based on symptoms, lab values, nutrition, lifestyle and individual goals.

We do not work with standardized “vitamin packages”.

When are infusions useful?

Infusion therapies may be useful especially for:

  • pronounced deficiencies,
  • poor absorption through the intestine,
  • iron deficiency,
  • vitamin B12 deficiency
  • or increased need.

Whether an infusion is medically useful is assessed individually by a physician.

Are costs covered by health insurance?

Micronutrient analysis and consultation are generally private services according to GOÄ.

Costs are usually not covered by statutory health insurance.

Private health insurance or supplementary insurance may partially or fully cover consultation, laboratory testing or infusion therapy depending on the tariff.

Should I pause supplements before blood collection?

Yes. To make laboratory values as meaningful as possible, we recommend pausing supplements and micronutrient preparations for about 4 days before blood collection, where medically possible.

This includes, among others:

  • vitamin preparations
  • iron
  • vitamin B12
  • zinc
  • magnesium
  • vitamin D
  • amino acids
  • or other supplements

Please do not stop prescribed medication on your own. If you are unsure, we are happy to advise you individually.
