During the initial appointment, we take detailed time for your medical situation and assess together which therapy is suitable for you.

Depending on your individual situation, the appointment includes:

• detailed medical history
• analysis of previous weight-loss attempts and possible causes of weight gain
• physical examination
• ultrasound examination
• assessment of existing laboratory values
• evaluation of whether medication-assisted weight loss with, for example, Wegovy® or Mounjaro® is medically suitable
• selection of an appropriate therapy
• detailed explanation of use, effect, possible side effects and contraindications
• definition of individual therapy goals
• prescription when medically indicated

Billing is according to the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ), based on the services actually provided.

Before starting medication-assisted weight loss, we recommend individual baseline metabolic diagnostics.

Depending on the medical situation, the following values may be checked, among others:

Blood count, inflammation markers, thyroid values, kidney and liver values, blood lipids, fasting blood glucose, HbA1c and fasting insulin to calculate the HOMA index.

Laboratory tests are compiled individually and billed separately according to GOÄ.

We discuss your weight progress so far, tolerability and possible side effects, your personal goals, further therapy and, if needed, dose adjustment.

Medication therapy can be supplemented by intensive nutritional medicine support.

Detailed nutrition and lifestyle intervention with:

• analysis of your nutrition diary
• calculation of your individual calorie needs
• definition of suitable protein and nutrient intake
• individual nutrition recommendations
• creation of a personal nutrition plan
• definition of realistic goals for the coming weeks

Together, we analyze the goals you agreed on:

• What have you already been able to implement?
• Where are there difficulties?
• How has your nutrition log developed?
• Which adjustments make sense?

Reimbursement of nutritional medicine consultation by statutory or private health insurance depends on the respective health insurer or individual insurance tariff and cannot be guaranteed.

For patients who do not need comprehensive on-site care, we offer a digital treatment pathway.

First, you complete a detailed medical history form online.

This is followed by a physician video consultation. We assess whether medication-assisted weight loss is medically suitable for you, which medication may be appropriate, and discuss use, dosage, possible side effects and contraindications.

If medically indicated, a prescription can then be issued.

After the initial appointment, you can conveniently have your therapy supported through Velto.
